Exploring KC – Final Day & Top Reccomendations

Exploring KC blog series has come to an end, today I’ll be talking about day 3 from my visitKC trip! Be sure to check out the highlights from Day 1 & 2, I shared some awesome locations you don’t want to miss!
This weekend getaway ended too quickly, I wish I could’ve explored this vibrant city more, but I am thankful for the time I spent here! I’ll definitely be back though. Maybe one I’ll even call Kansas City home (yes, I loved it that much)!

Breakfast Vibes at Beer Kitchen

We headed out early Sunday morning to take advantage of the time we had before checkout. Our breakfast reservations at Beer Kitchen in the Westport area. This food joint is super cool and has some of the most delicious mini donuts I’ve tried. I actually ordered a red velvet waffle as my main dish & it was probably the best waffle I’ve had in my life. Not even exaggerating. Beer Kitchen should be renamed the new Waffle House.

The Art of Nelson Atkins

Next up, we visited the great Nelson Atkins museum where the art is transmitted to your soul & the energy can be felt in each gallery. I personally admire art & truly appreciate the beauty of it. I snapped quite the amount of pictures during my brief visit here. Even the cafeteria was breathtaking. If you want to take an imitation trip to Italy, the Nelson’s cafeteria is the place to be.  You’ll see below the gorgeous architecture and design. My favorite display was the Contemporary gallery, which I photographed below. There’s no denying this facility holds a history of treasure.

That’s A Wrap With VisitKC

Well we’ve reached the end of my 3 Day travel partnership to Kansas City. I am highly pleased with the entire trip and really encourage you to take a visit out to the Midwest! This city will instill a love in your heart, it’s certainly unforgettable. For your reference I have listed my top 3 recommendations below:

Top 3 Must Visit Places in KC

Country Club Plaza
|  You do not want to visit KC without making a (long) stop here. My ultimate favorite part of the trip, the plaza. You can literally find the best shopping stores here. There’s a variety of exquisite restaurants to check out as well. My top pick no doubt!

The American
| Fine dining at its best can be found here. I wasn’t too sure about the food by reviewing the menu at first, but this place exceeded my expectations! Delicious dishes, friendly staff, & amazing city view. Guys, you’ll thank me later.

Thou Mayest
| This simple cafe definitely made my top 3! It’s edgy & ideal for millennials. If you’re into the whole new Americana vibe then this is your heaven! I don’t drink coffee, but they offer a variety of beverages including cocktails and pastries! Um, who wouldn’t love this?!

These places sound cool right? Let me know what you think & feel free to share some of your KC favorites as well! x

*A special thanks to VisitKC for sponsoring this trip/post. I appreciate the opportunity they granted me to visit their fun city!
