I am back with exploring KC pt. 2! There was just so much done this weekend that I had to split up in different posts. You can catch up by reading all about our arrival and first day over HERE. Today I will be sharing the highlights of the second day from this travel partnership with VisitKC! I hope you can find inspiration to visit this wonderful city. The hospitality, local shops, and restaurants are definitely some of the best ones I’ve experienced thus far. Enjoy! x
Bright and early (not really, our reservations were at 10am) we headed out to the beautiful Country Club Plaza which is located across the street from The Raphael hotel. Our reservations were at Gram & Dun. The options were all delicious that we had to ask for a little bit of everything to begin our brunch with. Here we met with the Country Club Plaza marketing director (Gayle) and two awesome guys from the VisitKC team. I personally didn’t have anything from the margarita bar, but c’mon, look how perfectly organized it is? All the girls were snapping away! The food was especially delicious, I can not complain at all. The service was great, very attentive and professional. I was highly content with this restaurant and will definitely be back next time I swing by KC.
Exploring The Plaza
After brunch we had a couple hours to spend wandering through the Club Plaza. I mean, this is ultimately the $HOPPING DI$TRICT! The first local place I discovered was SKIN, an all natural/vegan eco friendly skin care shop. If you keep up with me on Instagram and Twitter, you know how much I promote the heck out of natural goods. They’re my favorite and I could never use anything else on my face. The lovely owner, Stephanie was so kind to give me full size products to give away to my viewers, plus samples of my own. Her shop is very nicely curated and hello that minimal black decor is beautiful! I visited other retail stores, however, Skin was definitely the favorite!
Coffee Break At Thou Mayest
Next up we have Thou Mayest, which may just be the best cafe in KC. We were greeted with cute packages at our table and mine included yummy tea, a mug, plus more! The entire cafe was structured very appealing while “edgy”. I swooned over the outdoor patio, the huge plants, and tasty treats! & Let’s not get me going on all these good vibes with the music they had playing as well. This place was undoubtedly my type of scene, I do highly recommend to all millennials . Whether you want to study for class, meet up with a friend for coffee, or simply hang out for no reason.. Thou Mayest is THAT spot.
Liberty Memorial Views Before Dinner
Unfortunately, I didn’t pictures at dinner this night. The memorial however, was the location we attended prior to our dinner reservations at Jack Stack Bar B Q (which is obviously delicious because hello bar b q). I personally think the world war museum and memorial are a sight to see when you’re in the city. If you’re seeking a breathtaking view, you got it right here! We only spent a few minutes observing the amazing skyline & taking pictures of the monument. This is free of charge and a great opportunity for some family photos!
That’s a wrap of my second day adventures in KC! Be sure to stay tuned for next week’s final blog series of Exploring KC and what I learned from my very first travel sponsorship + tips! Thanks again for stopping by, xx.
*A special thanks to VisitKC for sponsoring this trip/post. I appreciate the opportunity they granted me to visit their fun city!
