Simple Spring Date Ideas

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great, warm weekend. This past week I’ve teamed up with a few other mama bloggers to bring you a SPRING BLOG HOP today. This means we will each share spring related topics! The other post links will be available below.

Well, now that one of the most pleasant times of the year is finally here, I’d like to share a few simple (nothing pricey/extravagant) spring date ideas. I don’t know about you but I’m over the typical movie theatre + dinner date night. My preference is something more creative, yet inexpensive. That is why I came up with these ideas that I’ll be engaging in this season. I encourage you to try out them out as well!

Picnic (day): Of course, the most simplest of all dates, yet most intimate. There’s nothing cuter than a brunch picnic with nice scenery to enjoy with your significant other. You don’t have to worry about anyone bothering you or people around you (unless it’s at a popular location). I personally prefer isolated settings. Busy places + picnics don’t go well for me. But hey, that’s just me.

Explore A New Town/City (day or night): One of my favorites is this one right here. I haven’t had the chance to do this often because of the disgustingly cold weather here in St Louis. However, now that the weather is supposed to be warmer I’ll definitely be venturing out to towns near by. This is best if you’re adventurous and enjoy finding new spots. You can enjoy this at any time of the day as well, whether you’re looking for day activities or the nightlife. (;

Free Museums/Attractions (day): I know every city has atleast one museum (or attraction) with a no-charge  admission fee. This is so fun to do if you’re looking to stay inside for a date. If you have not yet tried this, I highly recommend it… if you’re into exploring museums, that is.

Visit A State Park (day): Search one near you! You’d be surprised how many are actually close by. This is a great activity to do with you’re both into the outdoors or nature. You can find a variety of activities to do at state parks! I have yet to visit one around here and really look forward to it!

Bike Riding (day): Get outside and see different things, venture out to different locations, and enjoy the freedom of it. Not only will you be burning calories, you’ll also enjoy the ride together. Prior to riding, you can either choose a destination (or not) & end the ride with a smoothie stop. I haven’t done this yet, but I’m so excited to try it out soon!

Drive in Movie/Diner
(night): I personally think this one’s the best so far! Of course I would because I’m so old school. Anyway, look up some drive in movies or diners near you! This is a unique & romantic way to spend an evening together. I mean, if you really wanted to, you can even bring the kids along. ?

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed my ideas and one of them stood out to you. Now, be sure to check out the other lovely mama’s involved in today’s blog hop! See below for their post + blog site.
